The longest-running Italian contemporary theater festival takes shape from 8 to 17 July

Santarcangelo dei Teatri organizes the oldest Italian festival dedicated to the arts of the contemporary scene, and one of the most significant European events in the field of theater and dance.
Born in 1971 from a very close relationship between the city and artistic planning, it was founded under the sign of the international dimension and the relationship with the square, immediately placing itself at the intersection between the two dimensions which, constantly rethought and redelined , have always characterized it: the internationality of the artistic presences and the relationship with the public space of Santarcangelo and with the community of its citizens.

Since 2012, the Festival's activities have been articulated continuously throughout the year, giving shape to activities and appointments aimed at nourishing the theatrical culture of the area, hosting artists in residence and building vision paths for city spectators. The Festival then explodes into ten summer days, in July, very intense due to the presence of artists, creations, shows, seminars, workshops, meeting places.
Annually, the Festival has about 24,000 spectators, offering a vast selection of international programming aimed at both the general public and sector operators.
